Tubo FAQs
-
Why does the flexible hand piece seem to leak water from the bottom?
Back flushing water through the flexible handle keeps the inside plastic segments from accumulating mold. There would be no way to stop mold growth if the flexible handle was closed to outside air.
-
Do I need to clean TUBO? Yes. Wash the outside of the flexible hand piece with a liquid soap to remove any saliva build up.
-
I bent the flexible hand piece too much and it snapped in-two. Is it broke? No. The segments will unsnap themselves if bent into too tight of a radius. Rejoining the two pieces will take a special type of pliers that can be ordered from the parts list.
-
Can TUBO be used to blast off old tarter build up? No. Old tarter build up is much too hard and can only be removed by scraping with a dental pick. "Warning"...USING TUBO AT FULL PRESSURE ANYWHERE IN THE MOUTH WILL CAUSE THE INSIDE CHEEKS AND GUMS TO BECOME INFLAMED.
-
When I use TUBO my gums "Tickle". Is that normal? Yes. The direct stream of fast moving warm water will tickle sensitive gums for a short while, (2 to 3 months). Its an adjustment period for the nerve endings.
